The size of finished curtain depends on the material used and your style of crocheting.

My finished curtain measured: 191 cm length x 30 cm height.

For this project, you should know how to crochet these stitches;
Chain (CH), Slip stitch (SlSt), Single crochet (SC), Double crochet (DC), Triple crochet (TRC)

For this project, I used Lanabel’s Faisan Haiwei (a cotton yarn) pink, green and white.

I also used a 3mm size crochet hook.

For my topper, I first made 15 squares from the following book.

When I had my squares made, I then had to attach them together.

1st Square, into a chain 5 corner, chain 3, 4dc into same space. Chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 5dc in corner.  Chain 5, slsc into chain 2 space.  Chain 2, 3dc into chain space. Chain 5, slsc into chain 2 space.  Chain 2, 3dc into chain space. Chain 5, slsc into chain 2 space.  Chain 2, 3dc into chain space. Chain 5, slsc into chain 2 space.  Chain 2, 5dc into corner chain space. For the next thirteen squares, Into a chain 5 corner, chain 3, 4dc in same chain space.  Chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 5dc in corner.  Chain 2, place hook into loop of 1st square and make a sc.  Chain 2, 3dc in chain space, Chain 2, place hook into loop of 1st square and make a sc.  Chain 2, 3dc in chain space, Chain 2, place hook into loop of 1st square and make a sc.  Chain 2, 3dc in chain space, Chain 2, place hook into loop of 1st square and make a sc.  Chain 2, 5dc in corner chain space.  Chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 5dc in corner. Chain 5, slsc into chain 2 space.  Chain 2, 3dc into chain space. Chain 5, slsc into chain 2 space.  Chain 2, 3dc into chain space. Chain 5, slsc into chain 2 space.  Chain 2, 3dc into chain space. Chain 5, slsc into chain 2 space.  Chain 2, slsc into top of original chain 3.

To attach the last square, Into a chain 5 corner, chain 3, 4dc in same chain space. Chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, 3dc in chain space, chain 4, slsc into top of original chain 3.

Now to work on the top of the curtain:

With the right side of square piece facing you, slsc into next to dc of corner.  Chain 1, sc into same space, sc in next to dc spaces.  2sc into chain space, sc into each dc until end of curtain.

Turn, chain 3, dc into each stitch working back the row.

Turn, chain 3, dc into next space, *skip 2 spaces, dc, chain 2, dc in same space.  Skip two spaces, dc, chain 2, dc into same space.  Continue from * to end of row.  At the end there should have two dc’s together like at the beginning of the row.

Turn, chain 3, dc into next dc, *dc, chain 2, dc into chain space.  Repeat from * into all chain spaces across.  Place a dc into each of the two dc’s at the end of row.

Repeat previous row twice.

Turn, chain 1, sc in same space.  Place sc in each dc from previous row across.

Turn, chain 4, trc in next two spaces.  *Skip 2 spaces, place a trc into the next four spaces.  Repeat from * until last five stitches.  Skip two spaces, and place a trc into last three spaces.

Turn, chain 1, sc in same space.  Place sc in each dc from previous row across.

Turn, chain 1, sc in same space.  Place sc in each dc from previous row across.

Turn, chain 1, *skip 2 spaces, dc in next space, chain 3, slsc into top of dc, dc in same space, chain 3, slsc into top of dc, dc in same space, chain 3, slsc into top of dc, dc in same space, chain 3, slsc into top of dc, dc in same space, chain 3, slsc into top of dc, skip 2, sc, repeat from * until end of row, and end with a sc into the last stitch.

Top finished, now to work on the bottom:

Turn, chain 3, dc into next three dc’s, dc in chain space, dc into next dc.  Continue until end of row, placing dc’s into the dc’s and one dc into the chain spaces.

I then used the following graph for the last rows.
