Slip stitch into next dc, chain 3 (1st dc)dc in same stitch, *3 dc in chain 1 space from previous row, chain 1, 2dc in the middle stitch of the 3dc cluster from previous row, chain 1, repeat from * ending with a sl st into the top of the chain 3.

Chain 3, skip chain 1 space, dc into top of of each dc.  Work to end and add a sl st into the chain 3.

Place the two pieces together, right sides facing out.  Add single stitch from where back side ended into the last stitch for the front.  Work around single stitch until the last stitch of the front.  Darn in all ends.

Change to border colour, chain 6 (1st single stitch and chain 5), skip one stitch add single stitch.  *Chain 5.  Skip stitch, add single stitch. *Repeat around ending with a slip stitch into the 1st chain 1.

Slip stitch through chain 5 until the chain 3 mark.  Chain 1 (1st single stitch), *dc into next loop, chain 3 and slip stitch into first chain (cluster), 2dc, chain 3 and slip stitch into first chain (cluster), 2dc, chain 3 and slip stitch into first chain (cluster), 2dc, chain 3 and slip stitch into first chain (cluster), dc.  Single stitch into next loop. Repeat from * around ending with a slip stitch into chain 1.

Next stage is to create a handle.  I crochet dc from one end to the other leaving a little bit of the cord that I sewed onto each side of the purse on the inside.

Last step is to line the purse with cloth.

To make the lining, place the purse on a piece of paper and trace the shape of the purse without the border but with a bit extra for sewing.  For the front piece make sure to get the dip.

With the shapes, place on cloth and cut one of each side.

Sew the two sides together with the right sides facing each other on the inside.

Place the lining inside the purse with the two wrong sides facing each other.  Hand stitch a simple stay stitch all the way around folding the edge of the cloth towards the inside of the crochet side.
