Crochet Baby Booties

My pattern!

I was recently asked to make baby booties. I searched on Pinterest and found these two patterns, Bev`s Very Easy Booties, and Crafty Tutorials Booties. Neither turned out right for me.

Since neither of these two patterns worked for me, I took the concept and create a pattern that worked for me.

Row 1: Chain 47, hdc into the 3rd chain from hook. Hdc into the stitches across (45 stitches).

Row 2: Chain 2, hdc across (45 stitches).

Row 3 – 8: Repeat row 2.

Row 9: Slip 11 stitches. Chain 2, hdc into 25 stitches. Leave the last 10 stitches.

Row 10 – 12: Chain 2, hdc into the 25 stitches.

Cut off a long piece of yarn to sew close the bootie. Sew down the top and across the top of the foot. For the front, pick-up the stitches across in a circle for both sides. Now pull tight to gather the stitches. Work your thread down to the bottom of the foot, close up the stitches for the bottom of the foot. Weave in the threads. I made a string of 67 chain stitches for each bootie.

Do not forget to make two!
